SETTING UP YOUR CUSTOM HOME THEATER SYSTEM FOR COMFORTWith many things to consider when designing your custom home theater, things can get very complicated along the way. There are so many things to consider when designing your theater space. However, most people do not have the space or money for a proper design.  However, you shouldn’t worry about that.
Custom home theater systems are mostly placed in small bedrooms.  Sometimes (if you have the extra space), it can be placed in the living room or office, meant. Designing a home theater in a normal room where all the elements can not be controlled, can be difficult.  It could result to some mistakes.
DON’T LOOK UPPeople are not created to look up. Even a little upward look for two or three hours can cause severe pains to the shoulders and the neck. Most ergonomists recommend positioning the screen at the center of one’s view to avoid any pain.
This implies that when mounting the television or monitor, it should always be placed at the center of your view.  Ideally between 4 and 5 feet above the floor.  But it depends on how high or low the seats are in the custom home theater.
DON’T SIT TOO FAR OR CLOSEHow far or close you sit to your custom home theater system matters a lot. Sitting too close can be very bad, and your eyes could get affected.  However, nobody wants that. If you have a poor eye sight, then you should not be too close to the screen as this can only make it worse. On the other hand, sitting too far is also bad.  Since this can make you not to appreciate the view.
DON’T ALLOW THE SUN TO RUIN YOUR THEATERLighting has a great impact on the image quality, so this should be one of your top priorities. Try as much as you can not to place your screen around the sun. Don’t place it anywhere near direct sunlight when you are viewing it. Make every effort to place your television in an optimal spot. Never place it where direct sunlight will flash on the screen while you’re watching it.  Also, don’t place it opposite a big window.
If sunlight penetrate into your rooms, consider buying blinds or blackout shades. These will help to keep the lights out of the room on a hot sunny day.
